On-demand crowdsourced interpretation service

a startup idea shared by Dennis Wu on 12/11/2012

Sometimes you need to talk to someone speaking a language you don't know, e.g. book a hotel where the staffs do not know English. You do not want to hire a professional interpreter because it is only a short (few minutes) conversation. There are lots of people in the world that know that language and your language. They can perform simple Interpretation for you even though they are not professional interpreters. This service use VoIP services to connect you with a interpreter and the person you want to talk to through phones so that the interpreter can help you two communicate. You pay a per minute charge so it is affordable and can avoid miscommunication. The interpreter earns a portion of the charge and can do it at anytime with a mobile phone.
